7th March – 2 am Genocide of Future Generations of Christians in Zot and Dogo-Nahawa villages – Jos, Nigeria.

Matthew 2[18]  In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

The video below is quite graphic and captures acts of Genocide in Jos, Nigeria.

Please also find below pictures of the 2am attack of 7th March 2010 over Zot and Dogo-Nahawa villages of Jos south Local Government areas.

For more details on Religious Crisis in Jos please see “The Jos Crisis – Terror in the Recession“.

Please note that you may find these pictures disturbing.

  1. As a muslim I feel saddened and ashamed. Why do people think they are above the law. we are complaining that the Israelis are killing women and children, yet we have some mad bigots doing the same here. I tell you they are not among us. Islam does not teach this madness. My heart is with all d victim`s relatives. And I hope the culprits face justice.

  2. ISLAM DETEST VIOLENCE. THIS IS NOT ISLAM,THESE HIDING IN THE SHADOW OF ISLAM TO COMMIT MURDER MAY ALLAH DESTROY THEM WITHIN THE SHORTEST TIME. I CALL ON TO ALL RELIGIOUS LEADERS MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS AND ANY OTHER RELIGION TO PLEASE PREACH OUT PEACE LOVE AND UNITY. NO RELIGION CALLS FOR VIOLENCE. WE SHOULD LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

  3. This is very sad, and upsetting for anyone to see. It is disturbing that anyone will lay a finger let alone slaughter or matchet a child for whatever reason is completely inhumane and unacceptable. I am a muslim and live happily with my non muslims friends, neighbours and colleagues because that is what Islam teaches, any other barbaric action is chosen by these for their own selfish reasons, who knows if its a cultist or fetish demands of the devil they serve.I pray that Allah reveal the culprits and let them be judged accordingly. its a shame to our leaders and government officials but God doesnt sleep. My heart and prayers goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones and the community aswell.

  4. Matthew 5[44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? [47] And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? [48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

  5. Innocent children being burned and slashed to death with machetes/knives at 3am in the night. Senseless and barbaric slaugher of hundreds of defenseless families in their sleep by savage fulani terrorists. Can anything be worse? This is not the first time – its happened over and over these last 50 years! How come life is so cheap in Nigeria? But … See morethese are even Christian families!!! Apparently some ‘security enforcers’ were complicit in this Genocide. Is Nigeria really a country of free people? How do we allow these arts of terrorism to fester and pollute us continually?

As a people these ghastly, heinous and despicable acts of gruesome murder under the cover of darkness, only only serve to dehumanize us in Nigeria. What should be our response here as Christians? Do we continue to take a ‘wait and see’ attitude? Do we just lament? The Acting President has changed a couple of senior Officials. Will this solve the problem? Obviously this is a security issue which calls for a proactive approach. Proper intelligence gathering and beefed up security in Jos and the other volatile areas of the North. Also appropriate communication systems between local communities in these areas and the Police – but this may be asking too much. Very sad state of affairs – how do we [as christians] atone for this evil/curse? We are really under seige and need to utter outrage at this time.

  6. This is very unfortunate…. one pertinent question we need to ask is “why is this crises continuously caused by a particular section of the country, regardless where it occurs?” there are other “settlers” in jos from other parts of the country who even got there before the perpetrators, do they cause problems? do they have any “indigene/settler” disagreement/crisis?

the answer is NO!!!…very sadly, by design/default, our northern brethren are always caught in this web of “we-against-against everybody else”.

what this section demand from other places where they are settlers, they can never give to others who are settlers in their homeland. they DON’T believe in the law of reciprocity: do unto others what you want others to do unto you. they demand for rights they are NEVER willing to give. The GOOD people of northern descent have to let their blood brothers know that they have to STOP behaving as if they are doing everyone a favour by being a part of nigeria. they have to STOP this “sole-ownership” mentality and see that nigeria belongs to ALL and not just one section, one tribe or one religion. they have to STOP this “occupational” character/syndrome. they must STOP this ancient barbaric way of killing and maiming to occupy a land.

ALL land belongs to God and if you shed blood to occupy the land, you will NEVER have peace. why do they find it difficult to live peaceably with others except they are “in-charge” and you MUST do what they want. slavery in 21st century?

if they cannot live peaceably with the indigenes of jos & co-settlers of other tribal descent, they should GO BACK HOME to where they belong and leave those who wish to live peaceably & peacefully alone!!!

  9. Thank you Bode. Makes me cry. Just this morning our Pastor asked us if we know of places where Christians are persecuted…Not too many could name places. I would like to repost, but I have 13 year old teens as friends. The photos may be too disturbing and I do not want to upset parents. Then again…I think more Americans need to see.

  12. It seems you are not sincere and justice toward what you are complaining, why cant you recal what christians have done to muslim in the year 2008 and recent in january this year at kuru karama?the number of muslim you have killed, are they animals?we have to retaliate more and more so that the equation will be balance gradually. You are killing muslims in jos for long and nothing has been to investigate the matter. Now we are ready to defend our selves and face challenges from you.

  13. Christians do not believe in retaliation and where there have been retaliations, this is not in obedience to Christ. I assure you that Christians are being urged never to attack in revenge or for gain as this is not in line with true Christian witness. God bless you and I pray that wounds will be healed that there may be peace…

  14. Mr bode you must say so since you are now affected with what our fellow muslims in plateau has experienced for many years. Muslims in plateau had suffered a physical and mental torture at the same time you are claiming that muslims are responsible for all the crises in plateau, how can a small number of people cause crises out huge number? I see no reason why grotp of muslim in a meager number cope with majority and fight them, this can only be possible when the minority suffered alot at the hand of the agressors the majority and nothing has been done to stop the killers in perpetrating their evil things,so the majorities has to think their to stop the killings by retaliation.
If you dont know let me tell the fact behind all the crises in plateau state, sincerely speaking, the christian associatiom of nigeria so called CAN make a plan for long to turn city of jos a great centre of christian in africa so that all christians in africa rhould visit jos as a holy land to perform pijgrimage instead of going to rome which is too cort for many and these plan could only achieve when there is no any single muslim in jos and the only way is to persecute the muslim in plateau. This ir the reason why crises will not end in jos. Advise them to banned their agenda.
