Gen 30:28 And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.29 And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. 30 For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?
Have you noticed that whatsoever you touch seems to blossom for others – but not for you? Have you noticed that those you help to move forward seem to thrive – but you are frustrated?. Have you seen Laban grow fat and benefit from your labors? Have you asked yourself … am I cursed to be manipulated and dominated by others ?
Do not despair. Laban must soon release you. Not just because of you, but because of Joseph … the promise that you carry with you. The dreamer cannot thrive in the house of Laban. Joseph must not be influenced by Laban. It is time for your location to change. Indeed you have an anointing to excel … somehow you have not been permitted to benefit from it and everyone else has. But the story is about to change. Stop mourning concerning the past. If you were worthless … how is it that many have been blessed by your gift?
You carry a gift – a seed that causes increase and expansion for others while you are not expanded. Your beginning is tough, but it will not remain so. Things are soon going to change for you. Stop weeping. Get up and move forward. Keep challenging Laban. Ask the devil to leave you alone. Be prepared to separate from all God has appointed you to be separated from.
‘Tis a point I long to know, oft it causes anxious thought;
do I love the Lord, or no? am I His, or am I not?
If I am, why am I thus? Why this dull and lifeless frame?
Hardly, sure, can they be worse, who have never heard His name!
When I turn my eyes within, all is dark, and vain, and wild;
fill’d with unbelief and sin, can I deem myself a child?
If I pray, or hear, or read, sin is mix’d with all I do;
you that love the Lord indeed, tell me, Is it so with you?
Yet I mourn my stubborn will, find my sin, a grief, and thrall;
should I grieve for what I feel, if I did not love at all?
Could I joy His saints to meet, choose the ways I once abhorr’d,
find, at times, the promise sweet, if I did not love the Lord?
Let me love Thee more and more, if I love at all, I pray;
if I have not lov’d before, help me to begin today.
Words: John Newton, 1779
Prayer: O Lord open the eyes of and free millions dominated by Laban ( i.e. sin and evil). Free many carriers of great dreams and futures living under demonic oppression and control. Amen
