Remember the Lord

Nehemiah 4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

Whatever may be the situation, you must remember the Lord. Nehemiah says God is great and terrible. God does not want us to be afraid. We fight and win because the battle belongs to the Lord. We will not win because we have a good strategy or effective plans. Again I must remind you, we win because the battle belongs to the Lord. This Lord is strong and mighty, mighty in battle and able to see us through.

If we forget the Lord because of the comfort, gains and seductions … our dreams of greatness will be poisonous even to us … an idol. The Lord, great and terrible, will fight. Be careful of putting yourself in front ahead of the name of the Lord. It is not about you …it has never been. It is about the God who commissioned the work. Remember the Lord.

Thoughts for Business and the work place

Whatever diminishes constraint diminishes strength … lack of constraints produces sloth instead of creativity. Great inventors operated under much constraints.

Suggestions for Prayer
O Lord, you are indeed great and terrible. Glorify your name in my life. Amen

As Nehemiah’s wall was built,  so will we see a reconstruction in all that may appear in distress and in waste.  Nehemiah trusted and feared God, putting his faith in the Almighty whose strength is limitless to exceed all our expectations. Look out daily for Nehemiah’s Wall in 2015 and do invite friends to subscribe to the free email or social media posts.

Watch and Pray

Nehemiah 4:9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

Nehemiah replies conspiracy with more prayers … but this time there is a watching too. May God help us to be spiritually alert when we have prayed … not careless. What are we to watch for? For lies, seductions, traps, nets and arrows … It is not enough to be prayerful, but we must also find grace to see what others cannot see. This is not the gift of suspicion …but a discernment, a supernatural understanding that helps us to know the evils being planned by the enemy.

When you watch, God reveals the secrets of His enemies to you, and gives you strategies to always be ahead. We cannot cease from watching when there is a great assignment under attack. We must also watch ourselves so we do not become the enemies of God or be used against ourselves. We must set a watch over our lips and our thoughts …day and night. Be not careless dear friend …because of the assignment before you, there are many days and nights you must endure … because of the opposition.

Thoughts for Business and the work place
We must not attack opposition and extremes we do not understand (like everyone else) otherwise we risk mediocre creations. The unique can only come from the previously unknown. Ask God to help you watch.

Suggestions for Prayer
O Lord, Help me to watch as I pray. Amen
