The work of God is the manifestation and labour of the Holy Spirit building according to God’s plan upon Christ the Rock and with God’s chosen tools – primarily His word. These two teachings describe how the Holy Spirit must reveal the role of the Rock as the sure foundation…and how He builds to please God. When God finishes His masterpiece – us, His glory fills our lives. These two messages on The Rock: The Holy Spirit reveals Him and God’s tools minister on these issues…Enjoy.
Acts 15 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: ICor 3 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
God builds on Himself with Himself…The Holy Spirit quickeneth…the flesh profits nothing…The work of God is the work of the Holy Spirit…our lives as temples of God are therefore constructions of the Holy spirit…. I Cor 12 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. What then are the tools of the Spirit? There are 2 main tools. They are Man and the Word of God and they do not work independently…
Man : The Holy Spirit came upon men, filling them with wisdom, power and knowledge Exodus 35 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;  And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
The Rock: The Holy Spirit Reveals Him
Jesus knew what men thought of Him but He wanted to leave us a very important lesson about Himself – the Rock of ages. The first thing we see in this text is that without the Holy Spirit no man can know God or come to Him…The best that many do is to profess to know Him from a Bible school/academic or theological perspective …but this is not coming to Jesus…the Holy Spirit must show us certain things. It is not surprising today that many see Jesus as a good man, a teacher, a great prophet among others, who was helped by some disciples….but this is very far from truth. Jesus is God; He is the only begotten Son of God who is one with the Father. He works through the Holy Spirit the third person in the Godhead…there is no other way to the Father but through Him. Our understanding of spiritual issues are also personal…the Christian walk can be very solitary at times because of deep personal revelation by the Holy Spirit…but this scripture tells us that our conviction on Jesus as the Rock is not a head-knowledge matter…this is a deep revelation by the Holy Spirit and is the foundation on which the Church is built.
