Episode 2 Important Issues and Warnings

We are advised to remain on the hard ground  Stay on Rock – Rocky ground and dig and build on this “hostile” environment and not to Build on Earth which seems easier to achieve.  Enjoy viewing these teachings.

Stay on the Rock

Our text is taken from Luke 6 [47] Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: [48]  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. [49]  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

The question for today is where am I building?  In previous teachings we established that many gather to hear the word of truth but find themselves unable to do what they hear because they refused to dig or they digged very shallow avoiding the rock or they built without foundation or they built upon earth…so many possible reasons .  Eventually when the flood arose whatever was built fell.   Today we will examine more on where we are building…

Most of us start well with God, serving and honouring Him – and as we discover some of the challenges associated with rocky territory we want to help God achieve His work faster…or we want to rescue the work that seems to have hit rock…and we shift the axis of our labour of faith from rock to earth…what does earth represent and why does Christ warn that many who come to him and hear the sayings only experience great ruin when the flood comes?  Be blessed by this teaching… Click for more

Do not build on earth

Our text again is taken from Luke 6 [47]  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: [48]  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. [49]  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Luke 15 [12]  And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me . And he divided unto them his living. [13]  And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

What is it that causes many to start well and then later find they are on wrong ground?   I listened to an interesting message by Albert Mohler – President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in which he spoke on the adjusted gospel and modern man’s agenda to help God and rescue the true gospel from extinction and total irrelevance.  In similar ways people who stop the building on rock and relocate to earth mean well … they want to help God fulfil His promises…these have heard the word well and want to see it spread and bear fruit … but  they imagine that a few adjustments are necessary. .. only to find they are no more on rock.  Be blessed…Click for more

God bless you.
